DUNGANNON CREDIT UNION
‘The project focused on creating a welcoming, transparent and sustainable environment to enable the Credit Union to provide a quality service for members. The 2 main architectural interventions included the relocation of the public entrance & the creation of a double height, main Credit Union hall. The new public entrance at Georges St. enabled the use of the previously vacant, semi-basement floor whilst providing a more user-friendly approach to the building with immediate parking facilities & level access. Utilising the semi-basement resulted in floor space becoming less of a premium & as such a portion of the ground floor slab was demolished to create the south facing, double height space. The introduction of 3 no. large, double height windows & internal, backlit, perforated screens have enhanced the Credit Unions presence on the street & created a more vibrant façade. Another key aim of the project was to provide a workplace focused on staff well being, this was achieved through increasing natural light through out the building, the creation of collaborative working spaces and the introduction of quality finishes & planting.’ Chris Mullan, MOR Architects

‘MOR architects delivered an efficient and professional service during our development project. They presented a design which far exceeded our hopes and set about turning it into a reality. As project managers, they worked with the various counterparties to keep disturbance to our business during the project to a minimum and were quick to respond to any issues that arose, giving advice and providing solutions. I would not hesitate to recommend them and am grateful for their help in completing this project.’ Lisa McCloskey, Dungannon Credit Union
